Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Core CAMHS mental health team, in the role of a Clinical Lead. The successful applicant will join a robust multidisciplinary team to provide strategic, clinical, and professional leadership for Occupational Therapy within the team and wider service.

The successful applicant will ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based OT practice across the service and support children and young people with complex mental health needs to develop functional skills, improve participation, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the OT provision within CAMHS, ensuring it aligns with national guidelines, local service priorities, and best practice.
  • Provide advanced clinical assessment and intervention for young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties (e.g. trauma, anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, eating disorders, emotional dysregulation).
  • Offer specialist consultation, supervision, and training to OT colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and outcome measurement.
  • Champion occupation‑focused, recovery‑oriented, and trauma‑informed practice across the service.
