Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Edinburgh is looking for a Clinical Fellow in Spinal Surgery to join the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. The position will provide training in paediatric spinal surgery and requires completed Orthopaedic or Neurosurgical training at ST level. Job Details

Fixed‑term, full‑time (40 hours per week) post based in Edinburgh at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP). The post starts 1 January 2027 and lasts for 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Receive training and experience in paediatric and young adult deformity spinal surgery at an appropriate level.
  • Assist and, where appropriate, perform spinal procedures under supervision.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical governance activities, and audit processes.
Qualifications
  • Completed Orthopaedic or Neurosurgical training at ST level or equivalent.
  • Previous exposure to paediatric spinal surgery.
  • Willingness to work full time over a 12‑month fixed term.
