Purpose of the Role

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily delivery of high-quality cleaning services within 11–12 St James’s. Working closely with the site management team, the supervisor ensures that all cleaning standards, compliance requirements, and client expectations are consistently met. The role provides hands‑on operational support, leads the cleaning team, maintains excellent customer service, and ensures the building remains clean, safe, and presentable at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise and support the daily activities of the cleaning team.
  • Conduct daily briefings to allocate tasks and ensure all areas are covered.
  • Provide training on cleaning techniques, colour coding, equipment use, and site procedures.
  • Monitor staff performance and address issues promptly, escalating where required.
  • Assist with coordinating holiday, sickness, and shift cover to maintain service levels.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and solve problems under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
Knowledge
  • Understanding of cleaning specifications for office environments.
  • Familiarity with COSHH, colour‑coding systems, and safe chemical handling.
  • Awareness of health & safety legislation relevant to cleaning operations.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and machinery.

Working Hours – 18:00 – 21:00 – Monday to Friday

Salary – £15.25 Per hour
