You will also be required to carry out similar enforcement activities in relation to licences issued by the Council under the terms of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.You must have effective oral and written communication skills aswell as organisational skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative, working to timescales and achieving targets.It is essential you have the ability to understand your role and responsibility in terms of legislation and policies, awareness of licensing regimes introduced by Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, the Gambling Act 2005 and Civic Government licensing legislation.Effective administrative skills e.g. record keeping, analysing issues and report writing aswell as the ability to work effectively with others and under minimal supervision is also essential.You must have a flexible approach as evening and weekend work is required.Previous enforcement experience and working within a large organisation, with a relevant qualification in customer services or similar field is desirable.If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
