Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE) + annual £5,000 bonus

Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
- Build and maintain a high‑performing team through recruitment, induction and ongoing development.
- Consult and involve young people in decisions about their care.
- Assign a key worker to each young person.
- Monitor and uphold high standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
- Address complaints, child‑protection concerns and other issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with parents, carers and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
- Represent the home in planning and review meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, supportive culture and embed risk management and quality improvement processes.
- Ensure effective commercial management of the home to meet budget expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to start within 6 months.
- Understanding of Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong planning, organisation, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership skills.
- Excellent spoken and written communication.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and experience managing challenging behaviour.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Passion for making a difference to the lives of young people in care.
