A leading domestic abuse organization in Sheffield is seeking a Children and Young Person’s Domestic Abuse Practitioner. This part-time position involves providing trauma-informed support to children and young people in dispersed accommodation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have faced trauma, excellent communication skills, and a full driving license. Flexible shifts ensure the needs of children and young people are met, with the opportunity to make a real impact in their lives.

£ 26,162 - £ 27,219 (This is FTE which will be pro-rata for 30 hours)
Part-time (3 Year Fixed Term)
30 hours ( including shifts from 08:30 - 16:30 and 11:00 - 19:00).
(Willing to participate in On Call rota providing out of hours support approx. 1 week in every 8 – additional payment received for On Call).

As a CYP Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will be given the exciting opportunity to work with children & young people living within SWA Dispersed Accommodation around the Sheffield area. You will make a positive difference to young lives by offering individualised, trauma-informed support.

She will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience of working with / supporting children who have lived with trauma.
Confident to work independently in the local community as this role requires travel to various locations for support meetings and client visits.
A full driving licence and access to a car with business insurance (This is essential).
Awareness of safety planning and risk assessing.
An understanding of domestic abuse and it's impact on the lives of women and children.
Experience of safeguarding procedures and processes (both children and adults).
Awareness of working within an multi‑agency environment / liaising with external agencies.
Excellent communication and record keeping skills.
Ability to use ICT.
Ability to work on a rota including early (08:30 - 4:30) and later (11:00 - 19:00) shifts; Being flexible to meet the needs of children and young people living in our Dispersed Accommodation.
