Job summary

Ridge and Partners is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their expanding Building Surveying team in Salford. The successful candidate will lead projects, develop client relationships, and manage various aspects of surveying work, including site surveys and contract administration. Ideal applicants are RICS approved, MRICS Chartered, and possess strong skills in AutoCAD and REVIT.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree qualified - RICS approved.
• Experience advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties.
• High level of communication skills and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop detailed briefs with clients.
• Carry out site surveys including measured surveys and defect analysis.

Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Manchester; we are now on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team.As a Chartered Building Surveyor your role will include:

• Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues
• Establish & maintain client relationships
• Support business development activities by senior colleagues
• Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
• Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation
• Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC)
• Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice. Plus, Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations)
• Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
• Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership

Experience and Skills Required

• Relevant degree qualified – RICS approved.
• MRICS Chartered.
• Have experience of advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties either in the public or private sector.
• Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills.
• Competent with NBS Chorus.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
