The role

As a Centre Administrator, you’ll provide essential reception, administration, and information assurance services to support the operational and contractual requirements of the training centre. From managing course bookings and maintaining audit trails to liaising with contractors and clients, your work will ensure the centre runs efficiently and meets quality standards.

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
  • Provide efficient reception, administration, and information assurance services
  • Administer purchase orders, receipting goods, and maintain event management and SharePoint systems
  • Manage training and third‑party administration, including course bookings and accurate reporting
  • Maintain audit trails for administration activities (attendance, feedback, accommodation, etc.)
  • Act as Information Assurance Officer, promoting quality and compliance practices

This role is part time, 33 hours per week and is based on site at Severn Park Fire & Rescue Training Centre.

Essential experience of the Centre Administrator:
  • Strong customer relationship skills, with experience liaising effectively with contractors, clients, and visitors
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, ensuring smooth handovers in a 24/7 operational environment
