Job summary

A leading actuarial recruitment firm is seeking a Capital Management Actuary to contribute to the strategic management of capital and risk. This fully remote role involves developing capital management strategies, delivering balance sheet actions, and monitoring regulatory developments. The ideal candidate will be nearly or newly qualified with a strong understanding of Solvency II and IFRS 17, plus desirable experience in reporting and risk management. Job description

pmactuarial (PMA) specialise in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance. We have been asked to find a Capital Management Actuary on behalf of a Life insurer.

The purpose of the role is to contribute to the strategic management of capital and risk where the key responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the development of capital management strategies including capital optimisation, value generation and reinsurance structuring
  • Delivering performance enhancing balance sheet actions
  • Maintenance of group capital proxy model
  • Supporting M & A activities
  • Monitoring of regulatory developments including Solvency II and IFRS 17.

The ideal candidate will be a nearly/newly qualified Actuary up to a few years of post qualification experience. Essential is a knowledge of SII and IFRS 17. Previous experience of reporting, capital or risk would be highly desirable.

This role can be fully remote although our client has offices across the UK.
