We are looking for a dynamic, strategic and technically confident Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Industrial and Process Water solutions business.

HUBER Technology is an ‘Investors in People’ Gold company which specialises in environmental engineering worldwide, and with a UK operation based in Chippenham focusing on delivering water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and municipal customers across the UK and Ireland.

In this role you will join a forward‑thinking organisation committed to quality, innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement with a proven record of consistent growth.

If you thrive on building relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities, markets and strategic partnerships with clients and systems integrators, this role offers a career where you can make a real impact.

Reporting to the Sales Director, as a key member of our sales team you will drive strategic sales growth for the industrial and process water market, expand our market presence and position our solutions at the forefront of the industry (Food Production, Beverage, Dairy, Paper etc.). You will work closely with clients to cultivate resilient relationships with contractors, water companies and industrial stakeholders while collaborating with the sales team to deliver tailored solution proposals to meet evolving market needs.

Your core responsibilities are as follows:
  • Strategic Sales Growth – Partner with the Sales Director and Commercial Manager to lead the expansion of our Industrial and Process Water solutions business to achieve annual sales budgets and strategic growth targets.
  • New Market Identification – Identify, evaluate and secure new business opportunities, markets and strategic partnerships that align with our long‑term development plans. Collaborate with our Marketing Manager to drive targeted campaigns, presentations and exhibitions.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Collaborate with Area Sales Managers to understand customer needs and develop and generate bespoke solutions translating into quotes and sales orders.
  • Technical Authority – Develop and maintain expert knowledge of industry legislation and asset standards to influence client specifications effectively.
  • Competitive Intelligence – Deliver actionable market intelligence and provide monthly progress reports against strategic objectives while supporting strategic decision‑making.
  • Knowledge Sharing – Promote the use of internal collective knowledge, ensuring industry insights and expertise are shared across teams to strengthen the company’s competitive position.
Your profile:
  • You have an Engineering background and ideally a minimum of three years’ experience.
  • You have strong experience and leadership skills in business development and strategic sales growth.
  • You can identify and understand business opportunities and build long‑term relationships with customers.
  • You are commercially driven with the enthusiasm and experience to maintain and grow new business.
  • You can manage your own time and work autonomously to meet strategic sales targets and company objectives.
  • You will enjoy the technical aspects of this role while focusing on strategic sales growth.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You enjoy working with a variety of people and are confident in cultivating relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

A valid UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points) is essential, as you will be required to drive regularly as part of your duties and be willing to travel.

Our head office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire; however, for the right candidate we are flexible with respect to location.

We offer a role with genuine ownership, a collaborative working culture and opportunities for professional and personal development. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on our commercial performance and contribute to the wider growth of the business.

HUBER Technology’s culture is built on strong values, and we are proud to hold the Investors in People Gold accreditation. We offer a great place to work, with engaged, experienced and highly qualified colleagues committed to quality and excellence.

You will receive a competitive salary, a company car or car allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will be joining an organisation where people truly matter and where our shared purpose is to protect and enhance the environment.
