In order to support the team in the UK the company is looking for a Business Development Manager based in the Midlands, Northern England or Southern Scotland. He/She will be part of our sales force and will report to the UK Sales Director.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business in the UK water treatment space for industrial sectors. This will include Food and Beverage, Paper Manufacturing, Power, Steel and chemical manufacturing.
  • Manage an existing portfolio of clients to maintain and grow their business spend.
  • Work with the UK sales team to grow and develop top line sales with a healthy Profit Margin.
  • Work independently to develop brand new business from scratch, and forge relationships with all stakeholders to form business partnerships.
  • Learn and present Kurita unique technologies to advise on shared value opportunities and secure contract business.
  • Deliver and assist with technical presentations for Kurita technologies, in specific sectors.
  • Work alongside the marketing and technical team to present value opportunities across different business sectors.
  • Attend customer and prospect sites to deliver business proposals and technical support, along with product trials and sales meetings.
  • Work with other Kurita European entities to develop Global business and opportunities.
  • Work closely with customer support to ensure contracts are run efficiently and profitably.
Education & Knowledge
  • Min. 5 years of experience in B2B Water Treatment with special focus on heavy industry.
  • Preferably located in the North of England or Midlands.
  • Good knowledge & experience in cooperation with customers and operators of water treatment is a must.
  • Chemical or process background and education (Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or process engineering preferred).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
