Job description
Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of NOCN Group’s qualifications, end‑point assessment (EPA) services, and skills solutions across a designated region. This role involves travelling 3‑4 days a week to manage key strategic accounts across the South‑West UK, building strong partnerships with employers and training providers, and creating new opportunities that support our mission to deliver high‑quality education and skills outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales targets agreed in the business plan for the area.
  • Monitor and report on all sales and business development activity for the geographic region, reporting to the Group Head of Business Development, SLT, and the Board.
  • Plan and prepare presentations on NOCN Group products to sell the service to employers and providers.
  • Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
  • Ensure that sales income is increased in line with the allocated annual business budget/organisational targets.
  • Proactively identify and develop opportunities for new streams of income from potential clients or contracts.
About You
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
  • Educated to Level 4 minimum, ideally in a related discipline (Award / Certificate / NVQ / Diploma / Higher Apprenticeship / HNC / CertHE).
  • Experience working in education or a related discipline.
  • Experience of proactive cold calling.
  • Recent experience of account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
