At Klipboard, a leading provider of integrated ERP solutions for the distribution trade, we are looking for a Business Development Executive to help grow our cloud product, OnRent Events (formerly Current RMS). This role reports to the Online Sales Manager and supports a flexible hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver new business revenue for OnRent Events in line with individual targets.
- Demonstrate OnRent Events to prospective customers online.
- Reach out to new trial sign‑ups within the set team KPI.
- Nurture prospective customers through their 30‑day trial, including booking online training sessions.
- Ask qualifying questions to ensure the correct software match.
- Help new users set up their system and import business data.
- Maintain the business database with new trial sign‑ups and customers.
- Re‑engage previous trialists and generate new leads via email, phone and LinkedIn.
- Attend industry shows worldwide to showcase our products.
- Pass user feedback to Product Management and Development teams.
- Occasionally provide online demonstrations/onboarding at 7 am Australia time.
- Contribute to ad‑hoc projects as directed by the Online Sales Manager.
- Learns and keeps up to date with other Group products as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good IT skills with demonstrable experience.
- Grade 5 (B) in GCSE English Language and Mathematics.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information concisely.
- Strong customer‑first attitude and desire to help prospects succeed.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient troubleshooting and answering prospect questions correctly the first time.
- Approach work and relationships with maturity, patience, and professionalism.
- Consistently produce high‑quality, detailed work.
Desirable
- Valid driving licence and suitable vehicle for business use.
- Knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM systems.
- Experience in the rental sector within Live Events, Broadcast, Weddings, Construction, or general B2B commercial business processes.
The Role
- 37.5 working hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid working model – minimum 3 days in office per week, with option to work from home 2 days after probation.
