Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Projects and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with growth objectives.
  • Generate and qualify a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities through engagement and partnerships.
  • Deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and bids in collaboration with the Sales Operations team.
  • Mentor and guide a small team to achieve outstanding performance and client engagement.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Director to report on sales performance and pipeline progression.
  • Oversee new client onboarding to meet operational and compliance standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company at industry events and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve tender quality and bid win rates.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through a sales-driven approach.

For—the Purpose

The Business Development Director (BDD) is key to driving new business growth across Projects and PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) within FORTH® Building Services (FBS).

Reporting to the Strategic Partnerships Director, you’ll focus on identifying, engaging, and converting new client opportunities into strong, long-term relationships—laying the foundation for sustainable revenue growth.

From first contact through early development stages, you’ll lead the acquisition process before transitioning clients to Account Management once repeat business is established.

This is a strategically important role that will help expand FORTH® Building Services market presence and client base across our target sectors.

For—the Responsibilities
  • Drive Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities across Projects and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) in key sectors—healthcare, defence, commercial, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Shape Strategy: Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with FORTH® Building Services’ growth objectives and Group vision.
  • Build Pipeline: Generate and qualify a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities through direct engagement, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Win Business: Deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and bids in collaboration with the Sales Operations & Estimation team.
  • Lead & Inspire: Mentor and guide a small team to achieve outstanding business development performance and client engagement.
  • Track Success: Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Director to forecast, monitor, and report on sales performance, pipeline progression, and conversion rates.
  • Ensure Excellence: Oversee new client onboarding to meet FORTH® Building Services’ operational and compliance standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Represent the Brand: Act as an ambassador for FORTH® Building Services at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate for Results: Partner with internal teams to improve tender quality, boost bid win rates, and protect margins through the Gate Process.
