Job description

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing and Maintenance. We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and articulate individual to join our fast‑paced Business Development team. This role would ideally suit someone who has been working within the construction industry in an admin or marketing position but is now looking to move into a more Business Development focused role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and updating the customer database.
  • Conducting market research to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Identifying and pursuing new leads and business prospects.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Assisting our directors and leadership team with business development strategies within their divisions.
  • Supporting company networking events.
  • Attending industry networking events.
Candidate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and confident.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This is a permanent, full‑time position and will be based in our Paisley Head Office although due to the nature of the role travel will be required.
