Job Description

Purpose of the post: Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare simple food for breakfast
  • Serve food to students
  • Set up and clear the dining room
  • Wash dishes, clean kitchen and dining facilities, and mop floors where necessary
  • Work under the direction of the Cook in Charge or the Deputy
  • Act as kitchen assistant in the absence of the Cook in Charge during breakfast sessions
  • Maintain personal cleanliness and wear suitable clean overalls
  • Comply with Gwynedd Council Health and Safety and Food Safety policies
  • Perform any other relevant duties following a reasonable request
  • Monitor and report any concerns that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused
  • Adhere to equal opportunities, equality policies and data‑protection guidelines
  • Support the Council’s carbon‑management plan by reducing emissions and encouraging sustainable behaviour
