Job description

People are at the heart of what we do. We're now looking for a Breakdown Manager to join our Service Team, supporting the coordination of breakdown and priority works while ensuring our fleet and field operations run smoothly and safely.

What you'll do
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety in collaboration with field engineers.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping standards are maintained across all company service vehicles.
  • Allocate scheduled and priority works to field engineers and sub-contractors, ensuring efficiency and timely response.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders for components and parts required both in the field and depot (including sub-contractor PO requests).
  • Provide technical support and information to clients, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Oversee and coordinate pre-service maintenance across the company fleet.
  • Collaborate closely with the parts department to ensure parts availability and minimise downtime.
  • Work closely with the Hire Desk regarding outgoing assets to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Drive improvements in team engagement, participation, and productivity.

Qualifications & Experience
  • National NVQ or equivalent qualification (Mechanical or Plant discipline preferred).

  • Experience in a service, maintenance, or plant hire environment (advantageous).
