Job summary

A leading construction technology company is seeking an experienced BIM professional in Manchester to help shape the future of their tunnelling projects. Responsibilities include following BIM procedures, contributing to model standards, and leading training workshops. The ideal candidate should be familiar with data environments and have a strong knowledge of building regulations. Qualifications

  • Familiar with various common data environments, i.e. Projectwise and Autodesk ACC.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650.
  • An understanding of building regulations and planning permission processes.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Working knowledge of StandardForms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Computerliterate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications(Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.)

Your contribution to our company
  • Responsible for following the Building Information Modelling (BIM) procedures and strategy for theproject.
  • Actively contribute towards the development of the BIM environment.
  • Take an active role in the establishment of model asset information standards and protocols.
  • Involvement in BIM training and workshops on both project and non-project bases to internal and external team members.
  • Able to produce 3D models and 2D drawings to the project standard.
  • Ability to create, update and categorise model asset information.
  • Experienced in running clash detection activities.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving workflows, templates and project BIM standards.
  • Support the digital handover processes.
  • Liaise with the wider project functions towards integration of relevant information into the models.
  • Liaising with the client’s BIM team and other external BIM teams.
  • Promotion and communication of best practices.
