Be a St Faiths Sunflowers 🌻 Nurture our Green Spaces

We nurture and preserve our green spaces, and regenerate our woodlands and streams ensuring they remain welcoming, well cared for and a source of pride for all.

Detailed description

Our focus areas are the St Faiths Centre, the Parish and the Church.

The St Faiths Centre

  • Woodland maintenance and regeneration, keeping the paths passable, cutting back vegetation, spreading bark chip over muddy sections, removing fallen branches or tree trunks blocking the paths after storm damage, opening up overgrown old paths and wetland areas.
  • Stream maintenance, removing obstructions to the flow and under bridges, keeping drainage channels clear, where possible.
  • Tennis court maintenance, leaf blowing, algae treatment and pressure washing
  • General site maintenance, litter picking, scraping debris from the carpark kerbs, check drains (if appear blocked), low hedge trimming, pressure washing patio.
  • General gardening maintenance, weeding the enclosed garden area, the children’s play area, the bar patio plus tubs and under hedges.

The Parish

  • Litter picking within the community, the green spaces, the two playing fields, the bus stops
  • Leaf clearing of paths, when applicable
  • Public footpath accessibility maintenance

We meet at the St Faiths Centre 9am - 2pm, plenty of parking available, follow the volunteer sign
