Bank Recovery Support Worker

Description

Cragston Court is looking to recruit a Bank Recovery Support Worker to join the team. Located in Blakelaw, this is a 20 bed residential service, offering nurse-led rehabilitation programmes for people living with enduring mental health conditions. We support people coming to us from a hospital environment, and those stepping up from another community placement or their own homes.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • To provides practical support and responsive care to service users who require support in their rehabilitation and recovery whilst ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observes and monitors the wellbeing of residents ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
  • Provide specific interventions with service users as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with service users, escorting on appointments, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression.
  • Contribute to a team approach to residential care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
