Job description
Overview

We are a progressive podiatry service in Gloucestershire offering a Band 6 bank podiatrist position. This role involves independent assessment, planning, and delivery of podiatric care both remotely and face‑to‑face. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team of podiatrists, assistants and other allied health professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver podiatric interventions to a caseload of patients via remote and face‑to‑face appointments.
  • Apply and update clinical pathways in line with evidence‑based care, Government and local initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate clinical services with colleagues and the service manager.
  • Provide specialist treatments and advice under the support of Service and Team Leads.
  • Deliver clinical training and mentorship to students, apprentices and other podiatry staff.
  • Maintain accurate written records and statistics in line with Trust policies.
  • Manage complex and sensitive information from service users, carers and other professionals.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and regular supervision sessions.
  • Collaborate positively with colleagues to maintain effective relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Band 6 bank podiatrist with experience in wound care, musculoskeletal, nail surgery and domiciliary care.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills, including use of vascular and sensory diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong communication, team‑building and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to travel to meet role requirements.
