About The Role
Audio Visual Client Direct Project Manager – responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of client direct and construction projects within the AV integration sector.
Our immediate requirement is for an experienced project manager who will represent proAV, manage project scope, coordinate with sales, operations, engineering, and clients, and ensure successful deployment of programmes that meet budget and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work on multiple projects within the budgeted cost and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Monitor progress and performance, identifying, resolving, and escalating operational problems to minimise delays.
- Ensure successful and profitable execution by following standards and supporting the implementation of processes and SOPs that drive consistency.
- Maintain liaison with internal departments, clients, contractors, and AV integrators.
- Ensure H&S files are in place and safe systems of work are implemented.
- Understand contractual requirements and local regulations in operating regions.
- Guarantee that technical and drawing information is available, correct and allows others to perform work efficiently while adhering to client sign‑off procedures.
- Manage setup elements of systems to prove the concept.
- Handle all aspects of financial management, including invoicing, variations and financial reporting.
- Interface with all audio‑visual system components in client buildings, encompassing hardware and software.
- Represent the company at a senior level with professional conduct and presentation.
- Develop expertise in one or more project areas to act as an internal reference point.
- Produce project documentation throughout the lifecycle (programme of works, reporting, real‑time platforms, timesheets and notes).
- Attend interviews with prospective clients and maintain impartiality.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge in the following areas:
- AVoIP – video, audio, USB distribution and routing over network; devices such as Crestron NVX, Extron NAV, Q‑Sys NV.
- Dante/AES67 – audio over network, clocking, distribution, bandwidth, and layer 2 considerations.
- IP Networks – VLANs, DNS, multicast/unicast, Precision Time Protocol (PTP), and routing for AVoIP, Dante, IPTV.
- DSP design/concept – understanding of audio DSP operation, licensing, and channel limits.
- Conferencing and audio reproduction – audio basic, signal levels, sound reinforcement, echo cancellation, equalisation and delay handling.
- System design – schematics, workflow, overall signal flow and error spotting.
- System build – mechanical build, containment, power and data requirements for AV infrastructure.
Hours Of Work
40 hours per week, 9 hours a day, 8:30 am–5:30 pm, including an unpaid hour break, Monday–Friday.
