A high performing school in Sittingbourne is seeking an Associate Teacher for a developmental role. This position offers a chance to gain teaching experience within a supportive environment. Responsibilities include supervising classroom activities and managing work set by teachers. Salary: FMAT Band D point 2 £29,492.00 FTE
Actual Salary: £22,348.98 for 32.5 hours per week, Term time plus 3 training days
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Term Time plus 3 Training Days
Contract Status: 1 year Fixed Term – Maternity Cover
Contract Start Date: ASAP
Closing date: Wednesday 31st December 2025

The school is looking to recruit Associate Teachers to work within the Multi Academy Trust. This is a developmental role designed to provide an opportunity for candidates to gain experience of the teaching profession and it is likely to be of special interest to candidates considering a future career in teaching, though others are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will join a team in a busy environment where duties include supervising the learning that takes place within the classroom and administering the work set by subject teachers who are absent.
Applicants should have a high standard of general education, ideally to degree level, high level interpersonal skills, previous experience of working with young people and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
