Key Responsibilities

  • Execute investments across Europe, with a focus on late‑stage growth, buyouts, and strategic opportunities in e‑commerce, retail, logistics, and other JD Group sectors.
  • Lead and manage key aspects of deal processes including sourcing, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and execution.
  • Support ongoing portfolio management, including monitoring performance, driving strategic initiatives, and preparing regular updates for senior executives.
  • Collaborate closely with the operational teams across Europe and China to align investment decisions with group strategy.
  • Represent JD in discussions with target companies, co‑investors, advisors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and pipeline management to strengthen the team’s market coverage and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Degree from a top university in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; Masters / MBA from a leading global business school highly desirable.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in a top‑tier private equity firm, investment banking, or similar buy‑side role.
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to M&A transactions across the full deal lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to prepare high‑quality investment materials, including memos, presentations, financial models, and other analyses to support decision‑making.
  • Strong networks within the European e‑commerce, retail, and logistics ecosystems, including investors and industry stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), with strong communication skills to collaborate across teams. Chinese language is an asset, as are other European languages.
  • Ability to navigate and bridge both Greater China and international business cultures effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
