Overview

An amazing Global business is looking for a Business Development Executive to join an integral part of their Corporate Intelligence team. This is a highly successful brand seeking a Business Development Executive/Associate Director of Sales paying £60k-£70k OTE, plus 15% bonus uncapped commissions, reporting to the Head of Sales and working with the Head of Corporate Intelligence.

The role is based in the City of London – Liverpool Street is one of the closest stations.

The brand focuses on Crisis Management, Corporate Intelligence and Cyber Security. They are growing, and the Corporate Intelligence division has grown year on year, so we are looking for someone to proactively develop sales beyond existing accounts.

The Role

This role is responsible for generating new business for the Corporate Intelligence services, with a particular focus on corporate and banking clients in the EMEA region.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop leads and nurture prospects across multiple industries, generate pipeline and support engagement with qualified opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver new business opportunities, manage the development of CI’s prospect lists, and develop and deliver campaigns to target new markets or new sectors.
  • Organise business development across the CI business unit, so that meetings conducted by CI are coordinated to best effect.
  • Track, analyse and report on all leads, opportunities, pipeline and projects to senior CI management and the corporate sales team.
  • Liase with other business units on a regular basis to understand firm-wide cross-selling opportunities that may involve CI.
  • Coordinate with the company’s advisors to support CI business development, and contribute towards the expansion of the advisory network.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to organise events, webinars and other outreach campaigns.
  • Represent the brand at industry forums, tradeshows and events.
  • Use client insight to help refine and improve the CI offering.
  • Manage CI-focused sales representatives and support functions.
  • You will also be the Associate Director; you will be the main Senior Sales Executive and will have a junior sales executive reporting into you.
The Ideal Candidate

5+ years of experience in business development within the Corporate Intelligence sector (ideally legal, compliance or risk consulting). Ability to engage with senior decision makers at organisations of varying sizes, as well as partners. Strong background and domain knowledge of banks and corporates in the EMEA region. A good understanding of regulatory due diligence, deal advisory, and disputes and investigation.
