About the Role

We're looking for 2 Assistant Supplier Managers to join our Supplier Management team and play a key role in supporting supplier relationships and ensuring smooth operational performance across our categories.

You’ll be the go‑to person for supplier queries, onboarding, and compliance, acting as a vital link between suppliers and internal teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your commercial and supplier management skills in a fast‑paced retail environment, where you’ll make a real impact on product availability, cost efficiency, and overall customer experience.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Support the Supplier Manager with all aspects of supplier management for your category, including onboarding, exiting, and issue resolution
  • Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, handling queries and ensuring clear, timely communication
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and documentation to support robust reporting and compliance
  • Monitor supplier risk through credit checks and alerts, escalating issues where necessary to mitigate business risk
  • Coordinate supplier‑facing projects and communications, including new initiatives such as supply chain finance onboarding
  • Liaise with internal teams (Retail, Finance, Logistics, Legal) to resolve queries and keep processes running smoothly
  • Raise purchase orders and arrange category‑wide supplier training sessions
  • Provide support for supplier website queries and updates
About you:
  • Previous experience in supplier management, procurement, or a similar role within retail or a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, both internally and externally
  • Analytical mindset with confidence in working with data and producing clear reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable learning new systems
  • A proactive approach with a passion for problem‑solving and continuous improvement
  • Minimum A‑level education or equivalent; degree‑level advantageous
