A finance team in the UK seeks a motivated Assistant Management Accountant to support the preparation of monthly management accounts, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to financial analysis. Candidates should have part-qualified status in CIMA or ACCA and possess strong analytical and communication skills. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role supports the production of accurate and timely management accounts, assists with budgeting and forecasting, and contributes to financial analysis that drives business performance. You will work closely with senior finance colleagues and gain exposure to key decision-making processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with variance analysis and provide commentary for management reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Liaise with other departments to gather financial data and resolve queries.
  • Contribute to year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements within the finance function.
