Job description
Berrycove Limited – Assistant Farm Manager

Berrycove Limited is seeking Assistant Farm Managers with direct experience working in advanced commercial hydroponic greenhouse environments to join its expanding farming operations in Tobago. This is a unique opportunity for CARICOM nationals to return home and be part of the regional initiative toward building food security through advanced AgTech.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Management of a staff of up to 6 including several Production Specialists.
  • Responsible for the creation and operation of all irrigation and nutrient programs for a variety of crops across two greenhouse units.
  • Plan and implement harvesting and planting schedules and sensitize staff on what to expect.
  • Manage the production yields and ensure that all production activities are aligned with production goals.
  • Operational oversight of all electrical, chilling, and air circulation controls within the designated production spaces.
  • Monitor the health and safety and ensure high worker satisfaction of dedicated operational staff under your direct management.
  • Support the packaging, logistics, and sales and marketing teams.

Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.

Key Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a commercial greenhouse/hydroponic facility.
  • Experience in greenhouse operations, hydroponic system operation, and horticulture.
  • Hands‑on training with seeding and propagation, transplanting and maintenance required for the ebb and flow system and staff.

The ability to train and delegate staff.

Qualifications
  • BSc or similar Degree in Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Agricultural Technology, Agribusiness Management.
  • Certification in Advanced Hydroponics from a recognised institution is an asset.
