Assistant Captain (Assistant General Manager) – MOXY Bristol

Full‑time contract.

Energetic multitasker who leads from the front to maintain a smooth hotel operation and inspires the team to overdeliver for guests by working hard and having fun. Maintains high standards, has an eye for detail, and a sound business understanding. Builds relationships with key partners and brings the Moxy brand to life, creating a fun and relaxed environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Captain in all aspects of hotel management
• Customer service and guest relations, creating positive guest experiences
• Recruits and develops a team that delivers excellent service the Moxy way
• Ensures profitable hotel operation in line with company goals
• Manages the team effectively and enforces company policies
• Actively involved in day‑to‑day tasks of the team
• Manages Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy wayManages hotel room inventory and checks guests in/out the Moxy way
• Follows all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
• Promotes and supports the Moxy brand and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years hotel management experience
• Minimum 2 years team management experience
• Experience with property management systems (preferably Opera)
• Knowledge of POS systems (Preferably Micros)
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Knowledge of maintaining brand standards
• Event management, marketing or social media experience
• Personal travel experience and familiarity with the travel industry
