This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified art therapist, or someone who wants to refresh their skills, to use your qualifications to gain valuable experience in a real-world environment. We will provide supervision, and you will be involved in both 1:1 and group work.

Full Description:

Purpose of this role

Our Creative Therapies team works with patients and family members to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions related to life-limiting illness and loss.

Main tasks

  • Provide individual and group art therapy support to clients, patients, children, and families affected by illness and bereavement
  • Attend and contribute to MDT meetings to discuss cases
  • Maintain accurate records on our clinical database
  • Attend mandatory supervision
  • Maintain patient/client confidentiality and provide feedback as required

  • A qualified art therapist
  • Someone eager to develop skills in this environment
  • A team player with empathy and patience
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Training and support

  • Support from a named line manager
  • Mandatory training at start and periodically
  • Role-specific training organized by your line manager
  • Use of a dedicated email for client confidentiality
  • Completion of online data security training
