The Role

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Level 3 Apprentice Civil Engineer, to join our team, supporting an exciting project for HS2, based in Southam.

Clancy is a great place to start your career, as we’re a corporate member of the AOA (Association of Apprentices), that connects apprentices across the UK via a dedicated social and professional networking platform.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior engineers with design, planning and technical tasks across projects.
  • Support the preparation and updating of technical drawings, models and specifications.
  • Help collect, record and analyse technical data to support engineering decisions.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, surveys, or testing activities under supervision.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, calculations and documentation.
  • Learn to use industry-standard engineering software, tools and systems.
  • Support the coordination of engineering activities with other teams and disciplines.
  • Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
  • Assist with identifying risks, issues, or improvement opportunities on projects.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with project and company requirements.
  • Apply relevant engineering standards, codes and best practices.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade C/4 and above, including Mathematics & English Language, or an equivalent qualification such as a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Construction or Engineering at Merit or Distinction.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A full and valid driving licence.
Benefits
  • Support will be provided throughout this 40 month apprenticeship, to help you achieve a fully funded Level 3 recognised Civil Engineering Technician qualification.
  • Upon successful completion of your Level 3 qualification, you will have the opportunity to continue achieving qualifications and eventually becoming chartered.
