The role
We’re seeking a Founders Associate to work directly with our leadership team. This is a high‑exposure, high‑impact role designed for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and wants to gain a 360° view of scaling a startup. You will play a key role in our most critical initiatives, working across strategy, operations, finance, and product.
Responsibilities
- Help us to scale and grow Aposto by leading mission‑critical projects, driving key decisions and prioritising business initiatives, from market entry strategy and competitive analysis to new business line launches.
- Implement effective processes and identify inefficiencies across the business; continuously question how we do things and suggest improvements, using data and proposals, dashboards and reports to streamline operations.
- Assist founders with fundraising: preparing materials for investment rounds (pitch decks, data rooms), supporting financial forecasts and developing investor relations.
- Research new customer market trends, potential partnerships, customer segments and market opportunities; build strategy and plans for execution.
- Collaborate with product and go‑to‑market teams to inform the roadmap and launch new features; collate customer feedback and market trends into actionable insights.
- Tackle a variety of ad‑hoc projects as they arise, often with tight deadlines and high stakes, acting as the “go‑to” person for founders.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years’ experience in fast‑paced consulting, startups, operations or business strategy.
- Experience within an early‑stage startup.
- Confident using tools such as Google Suite, CRM and automation systems.
- Ability to quickly become an expert in new domains and context‑switch effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly analytical, capable of building financial models, analysing market data and creating compelling presentations.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, resourceful and thrives in an unstructured environment.
- Ownership mentality: takes full responsibility for projects and their outcomes.
