Job description
All roles are permanent but are subject to funding.

What will the role look like?

As an alcohol and substance worker and member of the Focused Intervention Team, you will be at the forefront of the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service. Your role will be to work with service users who identify as having problems with drugs (predominantly non-opiates) and alcohol, to deliver appropriate interventions in a time‑bound manner.

You will also be required to promote the service and communicate advice and information to the general public through coordinated attendance at a wide range of city‑wide events, presentations to varied groups, one‑to‑one engagement, work within the night‑time economy and many other types of public interaction.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience of working with people with issues surrounding alcohol and drugs and someone that has experience of effective interventions. We would like someone approachable to be able to engage with members of the public in a one‑to‑one setting and be able to work with a caseload of clients.

Currently we are also accepting applications for Trainee Alcohol and Substance Worker (37‑hours per week, salary‑£25,392 - £25,687 pro rata).
