Are you a passionate and dynamic Social Worker looking for an exciting new opportunity to make a real difference?

As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Ashfield Community Social Work Team, you'll be at the forefront of transforming social care, playing a pivotal role in developing our all-age working practices. You'll be integral to supporting our Team Managers, implementing innovative changes, and embedding new ways of working.

Your Role
  • Lead, mentor and provide supervision to a dedicated small team of social workers and community care officers with the support of the Team Manager
  • Work closely with internal and external professionals including Occupational Therapists, Police, Housing, voluntary agencies and Health
  • Manage a small, complex caseload with a mix of priorities
  • Champion the safeguarding of vulnerable individuals and lead on complex safeguarding enquiries as safeguarding manager
  • Foster integrated working with partners and promote independence through reablement and enablement approaches
What We're Looking For
  • A qualified social worker registered with Social Work England
  • Experience as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP), Best Interests Assessor (BIA), or Practice Educator (Level 2)
  • Knowledge and experience in safeguarding adults within multiagency procedures
  • Strong supervisory, training, and development skills
  • A full driver's license and access to a car for work (unless disability precludes this)
  • Experience of prioritising and risk assessing situation in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of working with people with a variety of needs and have a excellent working knowledge and experience of people a with cognitive impairment
