Advanced Neurodevelopmental Practitioner Band 8A. Bromley Healthcare provides community paediatric services in Bromley and seeks a substantive practitioner to transform ASD and ADHD pathways.
Main duties
Part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team, you will undertake structured assessments, contribute to diagnostic formulations, deliver post-diagnostic support, and engage in audit and research improvements.
Responsibilities
- Hold a caseload of children 0–18 years within Community Paediatrics Service.
- Undertake initial neurodevelopmental assessments using evidence-based tools (ADOS-2, 3di, ADI-R, Vanderbilt, Qb test).
- Gather multi-agency information and produce high-quality written diagnostic reports.
- Advocate for children with physical and cognitive disabilities and safeguard within the service.
- Contribute to development of care pathways, clinical policies, and local guidelines.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Nursing, AHP role, Psychology or Social Work.
- Postgraduate study or training in child development, neurodevelopmental disorders or child mental health.
- Advanced clinical assessment qualification or non-medical prescribing.
Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (Child, Learning Disability or Mental Health) with current NMC registration OR
- Other relevant professional registration (HCPC, Social Work England).
Training
- Recent relevant CPD.
- Training to interpret results of Qb Test and Qb Check.
- ADOS-2, CARS-2, 3Di or ADI-R trained and certified.
Knowledge and experience
- Post-registration experience working with neurodevelopmental and/or behavioural conditions.
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a community or secondary care setting.
- Experience of conducting structured assessments for suspected ASD and ADHD with diagnostic decisions.
Personal qualities
- Empathetic, family-centred, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach.
- Understanding of sensory processing differences and trauma-informed approaches.

- £61,631 – £68,623 per annum (band 8a).
