A leading catering company is looking for a part-time Admin Assistant in Ipswich. The role involves supporting the Chef Manager with office duties while providing excellent customer service. Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced catering environment preferred.
  • Food hygiene certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef Manager in general office duties.
  • Manage invoices and end of week paperwork.
  • Assist with events as needed.
  • Conduct audits.

Job description
Contract: Part Time , Permanent
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: 20 per week

A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from nursery to Sixth form in Ipswich, Suffolk. Catering for up to 500 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch, supper, internal and external hospitality. This is a 41 week term time only position Monday to Friday working patterns are 5 out of 7 days with flexible hours paying £15 per hour . Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you as Admin Assistant to join one of our fantastic locations in Ipswich.

You will ideally have previous experience of working within a fast-paced catering environment.

You will enjoy what you do, working with a great team, for a company fanatical about food serving wonderful customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • To support the Chef Manager in general office duties
  • Ad invoices
  • Assist in end of week paperwork
  • Support on some events when needed
  • Carry out audits

You will have the following skills:

  • Team working abilities, Listening skills, the ability to work on own initiative, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and behaviour to others, Food hygiene certificate preferred.
  • The ability to be adaptable and be flexible as necessary. Reliable, Honest and able to demonstrate an open attentive approach to customer service.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take some responsibility.
  • Ability to manage some moderately heavy lifting, carrying, and pushing.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred.
