Job summary

A renewable energy infrastructure business is seeking an Accountant to support their UK finance function. This role involves working closely with the Finance Director across financial accounting, reporting, and compliance, providing significant development opportunities as the team evolves. The ideal candidate is AAT or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified, detail-oriented, and has strong financial accounting experience, with knowledge of UK GAAP and some exposure to IFRS being a bonus.

Qualifications

• AAT or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified.
• Strong financial accounting experience and month-end exposure.
• Good understanding of UK GAAP; IFRS exposure is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounts under UK GAAP.
• Assist with Group reporting under IFRS.
• Manage journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Intercompany postings and reconciliations.
• Month-end close support and management accounts preparation.
• Assist with audits, VAT returns and tax compliance.
• Improve processes, controls and ERP reporting.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Director and project teams.
