Job summary

A local waste management company in York is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Collection and Delivery Driver. The role requires a current HGV/LGV licence and involves operating a waste collection vehicle safely while assisting with waste disposal. This is a temporary role offering £14.72 per hour, with the potential for additional driving work after a minimum of 6 weeks. Training will be provided for candidates lacking experience in waste collection.

Qualifications

• Driver with a current HGV/LGV licence.
• Previous experience with waste or recycling is an advantage.
• Willingness to undergo in-house, on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Operate a waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Assist in waste collection and disposal across the city centre.
• Observe health and safety requirements during operations.
