Job summary

A global technology leader is seeking a 3GPP RAN WG1 Standardization expert for cutting-edge research on 5G-Advanced and 6G technologies. The role involves investigating technology concepts, preparing reports, attending standardization meetings, and drafting patents. Ideal candidates will have a strong educational background in telecommunications and extensive knowledge of 5G specifications. The position offers the chance to contribute to advancements in mobile technology, with opportunities for travel and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with patent filing for 3GPP or other wireless technologies.
• Experience preparing and presenting 3GPP contributions.
• Available to travel for overseas meetings approximately 6 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Investigate technology concepts for 6G and 5G-Advanced technology.
• Prepare internal reports and presentations.
• Attend and present at 3GPP RAN WG1 standardization meetings.
• Draft technology patents in alignment with 3GPP standards.

Skills

Deep understanding of the 3GPP mobile telecommunications system

Excellent knowledge of 5G NR (RAN1) specifications

Knowledge of 5G-Advanced architectures

Creative problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills

Ability to work pro-actively

Education

Good honours degree or higher in Communications, Electronics, Physics, Computing or Maths

PhD in Wireless Communications or Digital Signal Processing
