A major utility company is seeking a Project Manager Higher Apprentice in Bury St Edmunds. 2026 Project Manager Higher Apprentice, Strategic Infrastructure, Bury St Edmunds – National Grid.
The Project Manager Higher Apprentice role is based within our Strategic Infrastructure Team (SI), a new team created to deliver 17 major projects in the UK, along with other strategic projects to support net zero ambitions and the Government target of 50GW of renewable energy by 2030. Our aim is to help the UK switch to clean energy and ensure our electricity network is fit for the future, carrying more clean, secure energy from generation to where it’s needed. As a Project Manager Higher Apprentice, you would play a crucial role in enabling us to do this.
This role is based in the Bury St Edmunds office and offers flexible, hybrid working. It will include regular travel to London for the first 6 months. You will be required to live within a 45–60-minute commutable distance of IP33 1ET and travel to site locations; annually you’re expected to travel more than 10,000 miles for business.
You do not need prior work experience; determination and will to succeed are valued as we will teach you everything you need to know. The role will provide you with a variety of skills including transferable skills to support your career development within National Grid.
Starting salary of £31,310 for this apprenticeship, increasing annually.
