Working Schedule: 37 hours a week – Monday‑Thursday 8 hours a day, Friday 5 hours (flexible start time between 07:00 and 09:30)
This exciting Hardware Apprentice role will develop your skills through designing and implementing engineering solutions in accordance with programme and product requirements. Typical tasks will range from requirements management through the design and development cycle, to test, integration and validation of complex products and systems.
As a Hardware Engineering Apprentice you will be studying towards a BEng in Electro‑mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Delivered over five years via a blended learning model, your study will combine on‑campus taught lectures, online and work‑based learning, with a minimum of four weeks per academic year on campus in one‑week blocks. At the end of the programme, following the End Point Assessment, you will achieve a fully funded accredited BEng in Electro‑mechanical Engineering and a Level 6 Electro‑mechanical Degree Apprenticeship qualification.

Assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February and May 2026, followed by an induction week for all graduates and apprentices from Monday 7 September to Friday 11 September 2026.
Due to the nature of the work, all roles are subject to security restrictions. All successful candidates must possess the permanent right to work in the UK and will be required to undergo Government security clearance at BPSS level and obtain full Security Clearance (SC) prior to starting. SC is generally required if you have lived in the UK for the last five years; additional evidence of identity, eligibility to work, time spent abroad and employment/educational history will be requested.
