TRAINING METHOD: PRIMARY-ELEMENTARY
Full Time PERMANENT Kindergarten French Immersion Classroom position at St. Peter's Elementary School, Mount Pearl. Duties to commence September 2, 2025.
As a French second language teacher you will have a critical role in ensuring student achievement as specified in the curriculum guides of French programs. You are committed to furthering the goals for student success in an inclusive, safe and caring bilingual environment. You subscribe to a “students first” philosophy in your practice and believe that collaboration is key for your growth as an educator.
As a French teacher, your work will be guided by the application of the 7 Determinants of the School Development Model which are: Wellness and Positive Relationships; Optimal Learning Environments; Instructional Practice; Assessment Practices; Collective Efficacy; Evidence-based Decision Making, and Teachers as Learners.

Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.
Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause 37.01 (d) of the provincial collective agreement.

If Interview Required: Please note that candidates designated as Highly Recommended and Recommended in 2023 or 2024 individual or pool competitions will have that designation carried over for 2025 and will not require an interview for similar positions. Thus, going forward, the Recommendable designation will carry over and will equal the Highly Recommendable that will be phased out.
