Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist II

• Facility: St Joseph's Main

• Location: Tampa, FL

• Status: Full Time

• Exempt: No

• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Weekend Work: Occasional

• On Call: No

Responsibilities:

• Performs all diagnostic testing and quality controls

• Prepares reagents

• Reports results according to established policies and procedures

• Performs moderate to high complexity testing

• Uses cand maintains computer applications appropriate to the position

• Maintains equipment and supplies

• Assists with training and orientation of testing personnel

• Evaluates competencies

• Works independently and in a team

• Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills

• Uses and understands medical terminology

• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills

• Administrative and clerical skills

• Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position

• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

• Required - State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

• Preferred - ASCP certified

Education:

• Required - Associate’s

• Preferred - Bachelor’s

Experience:

• Required - 2 years laboratory related
