Role and Responsibilities

The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. This role establishes metrics, conducts data analyses, and supports business intelligence efforts. It involves evaluating industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short-, medium-, and long-term financial and competitive position. The actuary ensures data integrity through robust processes and controls, collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoots issues, and develops cost-effective solutions. The position requires independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, often advising executives on functional strategies and working with minimal supervision.

This Actuary role sits within the MRA Finance team and plays a critical part in forecasting risk scores and revenue for the Medicare Advantage Part D business. The successful candidate will lead efforts to model future financial performance, incorporating insights from historical trends, regulatory changes, and evolving market dynamics. A key aspect of the role involves partnering closely with pricing actuaries and Finance colleagues to guide projection assumptions and interpret actual-to-expected results. This collaboration ensures alignment across forecasting, pricing, and financial planning functions. The actuary will also be responsible for communicating complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to leadership, helping drive strategic decisions and improve forecast accuracy.

  • This role does not currently have direct reports, but leadership responsibilities may be added in the future depending on team needs and candidate experience.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$129,300 - $177,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
