Sound Designer – contract until January 2027.

Media Molecule is looking for a talented sound designer to join our Audio team on a 1‑year contract to help with our new title! This is an exciting Audio role with huge scope for impact. The sound designer will take ownership of a product area, assess its needs, create the necessary sounds, implement them in the engine, and guide additional work that needs to be taken on, such as handling a recording session.

What are we looking for?

• Ability to produce sounds that inspire and impress.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the games industry and a clear understanding of what is required to make a game sound good – demonstrated in your showreel.
• An intimate knowledge of sound recording, mixing, editing, and all the practicalities involved.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of using Wwise (preferred) or another game sound implementation system such as FMOD, Unity, or Unreal.
• Experience implementing Wwise or other middleware content into a game engine using sound designer facing tools.
• Experience in creature voice design, gibberish and synthetic voice design is highly desirable.
• A proactive, creative and collaborative approach.
• Scripting knowledge is a plus, but not essential.
