A leading charity in the West Midlands seeks an Assessment and Reviewing Officer to support unpaid carers and enhance their wellbeing through comprehensive assessments. The ideal candidate will communicate confidently with diverse communities and demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in social care or a related field is essential. This role requires occasional evening and weekend work and travel across Birmingham.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a social care, health, or education setting.
  • Understanding the challenges faced by disabled people and their family/unpaid carers.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Statutory Carers Assessments and Wellbeing Assessments.
  • Provide timely and accurate information, advice, and guidance to unpaid carers.
  • Engage effectively with Birmingham’s culturally diverse communities.
