Mechanical Engineer – Foundry EnvironmentLocation:DerbyshireSalary:£48,000per annum + Monthly BonusShift Pattern:Panama Days ShiftKey Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:
- Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics Expertise: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Interpret Engineering Drawings: Read and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Experience: Proven background as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding and practical experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
- Drawings Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and work from complex mechanical engineering drawings.
- Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
- Salary:£48,000+ per annum.
