Job summary

A leading family-run car retailer is seeking an Accounts Assistant in York. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations in the accounts department and closely collaborating with the Assistant Accountant. Responsibilities include managing nominal postings, credit control, and ledger maintenance. Applicants should have credit control experience, strong communication skills, and IT literacy. AAT qualification and knowledge of Kerridge are desirable. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Check and re-allocate nominal postings.
  • Code Purchase Invoices accurately.
  • Manage credit control processes.
  • Complete and check mileage logs regularly.
  • Maintain tidy Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
  • Initiate Monthly Run and process Inter Company Accounts.
  • Check and allocate Manufacturer commission accurately.
  • Conduct stock counts.
  • Oversee Petty Cash management.
  • Handle Daily Banking tasks.
