A leading machinery supplier in Central Scotland is seeking a Yard Operative / Valeter. You will load/unload lorries, maintain cleanliness of machinery, and ensure paperwork is accurate. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and a full UK driver’s license. A trailer license and forklift experience are beneficial. The role offers 22 holiday days, a company pension, and store discounts.

Responsibilities:
Loading/Unloading Lorries
Keeping accurate records of incoming/outgoing machinery
Ensuring all paperwork accompanying deliveries is signed and passed to relevant people
Cleaning of Customer machinery prior to or following repairs
Cleaning & Detailing of new machinery to pre discussed standards
Preparing machines for Hire/Loan – cleaning, checking fluid levels
Ensuring all relevant paperwork completed and signed for – Hires etc
Preparation for and the taking of photographs of new & secondhand machinery to agreed standards
Ensuring placement of Machinery is in predefined areas and to agreed plan
Responsible for cleanliness and general appearance of Yards and Forecourt
Ensuring areas surrounding skips etc are kept clear and tidy
Maintaining levels of cleanliness/tidiness inside workshop where required
Delivering/Uplifting customers machines using van or pick up & trailer when required (if appropriate licence held)
Strong organisational skills
Enthusiastic attitude
A full UK driver’s licence
Trailer licence is preferred but training provided for the right candidate
Technical knowledge of agricultural machinery is not vital but would be beneficial
Forklift licence would be beneficial
22 days holiday plus 8 public/bank holidays per annum

Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 07.00am -15.30pm
Friday: 07.00am – 15.20pm
Occasional Saturday work as per the needs of the business and agreed with your line manager.
Reporting to: Service Manager
Role for review: After a Probationary Period of 3 months
