Job summary

An Aviation Company in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled supervisor to manage manpower and organize maintenance repairs. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in MRO environments, knowledge of composite materials, and the ability to train others. Strong English language skills and a flexible schedule are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of supervising/managing manpower essential.
  • Ability and willingness to train non-skilled personnel.
  • MRO composite repair workshop/hangar environment preferred.
  • Fully conversant with use of hot bond equipment (Heatcon).
  • Conversant with handling and storage of all composite materials.
  • Metal bond experience essential, flight control surface and nacelle experience desirable.
  • Fibreglass & Carbon wet layup repair experience essential.
  • Fibreglass & Carbon pre-impregnated repair experience essential.
  • Experienced in Inspection and creation of work cards/work packs essential.
  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
  • Willing to work shifts (including nights).
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise & organise manpower and planning.
  • Organise and evaluate repairs.
  • Allocation and prioritisation of tasks and management of technical jobs.
  • Ordering & progressing spares.
  • Ensuring documentation is completed correctly in accordance with maintenance and company procedures.
  • Ensuring that company regulations and policies are enforced.
  • Ensuring the work area and environment are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Developing skills of all staff, including apprentices and trainee mechanics.
  • Assist with & carry out composite repairs.
  • Any additional tasks allocated by management.
